Luo Changjun, a major grower in Longtianping Village, has never worried about quality and sales since he planted citrus. Every November, the navel oranges produced in his orchard, large and sweet, are favored by customers.
This year, Hongshilin Town has planted a total of 16,000 mu (about 1,066.67 hectares) of citrus, with an expected output of 8.75 million kilograms and an income of 25 million yuan. The citrus industry has become one of the characteristic industries of villages.
“Longtianping Village highlights the development of regional characteristics. The development of our village in recent years has also helped many villagers nearby find jobs,” Deng Changjun, first secretary of Longtianping Village.
Now, citrus has become the “golden fruit” for rural revitalization and expanded the channels for farmers to increase income.
